Hey y'all.
I just realised that it has been an absolute age since I last blogged. I have not been feeling particularly good about myself and I guess this has made it more difficult to get writing on here. My biggest issue (pardon the pun) is that I have put on quite a lot of weight and I just don't feel happy with it. Weight changes are always an issue but when your clothes are mainly vintage and therefore difficult to replace and made of fabrics with no stretch, it seems to hit harder. I can't do anything up!
As such I have decided to do something about it and have spent the last week following Weight Watchers. Incredibly I have lost 7lbs in a week. This seems like a lot but I have really changed my diet so I'm not surprised. I expect it will slow down from here but it definitely has given me a boost.
I'm also starting the "30 Day Shred" workout DVD today after hearing great things about it. I probably won't be able to move tomorrow (I'm aching from doing just half the workout as a taster two days ago).
Here is hoping I survive!
I have plenty of film reviews coming up for you and a review of several brands of seamed tights for those lazy days where you just can't face a girdle.
In the meantime please cast your eyes over my new Swirl with watermelon pockets. This was too tight a week ago but just about fits me now! Hurrah for diets and sunny days.
You are an absolute vision, beautiful. xxx
ReplyDeleteLisa you look lovely in this dress and it is nice to hear from you again, Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThat swirl dress looks great on you!! I'm glad your back!!
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful...!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm really looking forward to your review of the seamed tights. My personal history with tights is one of regrets—I really find them irritating. So, up to now my alternative to wearing a girdle has been to either wear pants or occasionally go barelegged.
Happy Easter - I've missed you :) Your hair looks amazing here. xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you back, and beautiful dress! Good luck with the weight loss, I know just how you feel and am 5 days into the diet chef routine. Here's to a slim summer!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! Glad to here you are back! That dress looks lovely :)
ReplyDeleteDress looks fab!! well done.
ReplyDeleteFabulous swirl dress and it looks great. I feel your pain I need to loose right now and have been putting off the joining up but I know I really need to do it. You and straight talking Mama are inspiring me.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteKeep up with the workout. It's no good if you slack off for a few days. Believe me!
welcome back! you look wonderful in that watermelon swirl. good luck with the "shred" !
ReplyDeleteGreat dress and great luck with Weight Watchers. I lost about 20 pounds on it, which I promptly put right back on, but it did work really well for awhile. I just reached a plateau and got discouraged, so went back to my cocktails. So keep it up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely dress! And don't fret about your weight - your dedicated will get it off in no time. The vintage era was all about curvy women, after all!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, honey.
I follow and don't really comment, but I've missed you and I totally understand the struggle. I've been there, and I'm creeping back there myself. Excellent to start with WW - it's a big help. Hang in there! :) (And I admit I love how you use "y'all" and even spell it right!) :)
ReplyDeletei love your outfit and wish you the best with your workout regimen
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're feeling down, I completely sympathise and this whole Easter thing really doesn't do anything to help! yet, I must say, I think you are absolutely stunning, I follow your blog day after day and I'm never disappointed by what I see because I find you stunning. I commend your effort to get fit, I really think I need a kick in the butt to join you, because whatever your weight, it can never hurt to get some exercise I suppose, so, I'd love to hear your progress, it'll inspire me! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous dress! You look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay! For weightwatchers! I'm on it too, as you know. I think I need to lose about a stone still.
You are cute as a button in that dress ~ I want it! Stay positive...I wish I could come over and take you shopping and you could just get some new things because you look fine!! You need a ruffley cuban rhumba skirt to go with those seamed stockings! Can't wait to read your reviews...
