I have so many things I need to sell - things that are too good to throw or donate to charity reallyh (and I need the money) but, BUT, I really hate selling things online. Etsy isn't too bad but it takes forever for things to sell, while eBay is just horrid all round. Loading things up on the site takes forever and even using Auctiva is a pain.
Ugh.
I'm listing things anyway though, so if you want to take a look try here (link amended and more stuff to come over the next week).

I agree and my experience of selling seems to lead to things going for far less than they are worth too. I just posted some vintage knitting patterns on ebay and thought of you!! :-)
ReplyDeleteIm right there with you girly. I have so many things I need to sell just to have some extra space!
ReplyDeleteThe link you posted goes to your selling page when you're logged in, not the listings themselves :) I'd love to take a look.
ReplyDeleteI find the photographing/measuring inspecting to be the most tedious part of selling.
I just can't be doing with ebay. Unless you're selling a gold ring all the hassle offsets the pennies profit.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather box it all up and flog it down at a car-boot come summer (they have table sales for smaller sellers at my local one- £5 a pitch).
I go through phases with ebay - I'll list 10 things and then nothing for 6 months, because I have to work myself up to taking pictures etc.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about posting things right on your blog to sell? It might be worth it, even if you start with a few things here and there just to see how well it works
ReplyDelete...I'm guessing you don't have any resale shops in your neighborhood..? I used to live in a city where you could resale your vintage for $ , depending on the shop you could make a little!
ReplyDeletebut...
* ; / those were the days...
I'm with you on this one. Ebay is a nightmare and yet I find myself going back to it time and again. As you say Etsy is *SO* slow. I get burned time and again on Ebay, curse and swear I will never use it again and yet 6 months later.....
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa - your link doesn't work! Why not try listing them on your blog as well? (echo)
ReplyDeleteClaire
to be honest, at the moment I need funds quickly so I don't mind stuff ghoing cheap. Thanks for alerting me re: the link - can someone let me know if I have fixed it now???
ReplyDeleteThe link works now!
ReplyDeleteOh I know what you mean I'm going through this at the moment, I've put my nicer vintage on etsy but you're right it could take forever to sell but I want the price, everything else is going on ebay, but it's so blumming tedious!
It doesn't appear to be from my phone.
ReplyDeleteYes it's working :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree, I am curently selling things on Ebay to fund new vintage items but it's such a drab. And all the fees... Can't really earn much... But never mind!
ReplyDeleteOh I am worried now, I have been thinking of attempting to sell on e bay because like you I could do with a clear out and the money would be handy, as money always is.
ReplyDeleteIs it so dreadful, any hint or tips you gals have would be greatfully received wish me luck.
