Another finished knit! I'm on a roll...
Woot! I'm on a seaming roll (yes, it is procrastination and preferable to ironing) and just finished my 1950's cardigan.
I actually wasn't sure about this baby until it was buttoned up and tried on and it looks so much better on than off.
The wool is a heathery blue worsted, really nice to knit up, and the pattern available free here, was quick and easy. I do need to buy one more button though!
I think this, though not glamorous, will be great for winter, it is very cosy.

wow.....good you on. I can barely knit a scarf.
ReplyDeleteWoweee! I might have to commission you to make me something if you keep going like this! xx
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! Are you going to start selling these?
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I have another two projects sitting around waiting to be sewn up. I really do hate that bit!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I could sell something I'd spent so much time and love on but if my knitting gets faster I might start thinking about it.
I do need to make some snoods to sell.
Oh how I wish I could knit! I could use the extra sweaters right now. It's getting chillier everyday! There are so many 30's/40's ones that I have my eye on too! Damn it. I wanna knit too!!! Yes, my whining is caused by jealousy. :) You are doing such an amazing job and these sweaters are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnyone can knit, it isn't any geat mystery - the only thing I really had to learn was patience. I've never had that and it's done me good to get it.
ReplyDeleteThis cardigan is beautiful! You knit it?! Wow you are so talented. I don't know what you mean; of course this is glamorous! Just pull up the sleeves a bit and put on some jewel encrusted bangles or fitted bracelets or a nice choker! I am scheming... Anyway, you should be proud of course. It seems like you enjoyed making it.
ReplyDeleteMy envy knows no bounds. Another lovely cardy :)
ReplyDeleteWow well done lady, looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow you're fast, spurred on by the snow, no doubt. This is lovely and the whirly buttons are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAs Mr.Elusive would say ..."You're quite the Babe,Lisa"
ReplyDeleteThanks for the free pattern, and I love the yarn you used . To me,it was such a perfect choice for that particular style .
